SCHEELS Continues Support of USA Clay
Target League in 2026
Eagan,
MN – Leading outdoor retailer SCHEELS has renewed its
sponsorship of the non-profit USA Clay Target League,
the nation’s largest youth clay target shooting sports
organization. SCHEELS has been a supporter of the League since
2012.
"SCHEELS is proud to continue its support for the USA Clay
Target League” said Kolin Bartlett, Partnership Coordinator for
SCHEELS. “The League has worked tirelessly to expand outdoor
shooting sports opportunities to students and their schools, and
SCHEELS is proud to have been a part of those efforts for over
14 years.”
“The League is very gratified to have SCHEELS as a supporter,”
said John Nelson, President of the USA Clay League. “National
Sponsors like SCHEELS are visionaries that understand the
constant need to support and cultivate the next generation of
outdoor shooting sports enthusiasts. Each and every year over
thirteen thousand new students join the League, and they depend
on the support of thousands of coaches and team volunteers. By
supporting the USA Clay Target League, SCHEELS has been making
that happen.”
With over 55,000 participants in 2025, the League is the most
successful clay target shooting sports program in America and
the only “100% School-Approved” program in the nation. Over
2,000 high schools and colleges nationwide will participate in
the League’s programs in 2026.
About the USA Clay Target League
The League is the only 100% school-approved clay target shooting
sport program in America and the League’s co-ed and adaptive
nature are key attractions to schools nationwide. The League is
fully Title IX compliant with both male and female athletes
competing on the same team. Additionally, it’s an ‘adaptive’
sport, which allows students with physical disabilities to take
part.
The League’s priorities are safety, fun, and
marksmanship – in that order.
The League is the safest sport in school, with not one reported
injury since the inception of the League in 2001. Each athlete
must complete firearm safety certification before participation.
