POMA Cast & Blast Media Camp Itinerary
Event Overview:
This is a collaborative media camp event between POMA (Professional Outdoor Media Association) and River Bend Resort, bringing together media professionals and corporate sponsors to showcase the stunning outdoor opportunities of northern Minnesota. The focus will be on upland birds, with grouse hunting excursions highlighting the region's natural beauty and wildlife on Lake of the Woods. Join us for an unforgettable blend of adventure, networking, and relaxation!

Dates: September 29th – October 2nd, 2026
September 29th: Arrival and Welcome
3-5 PM: Arrive at River Bend Resort and get settled into your accommodations for the next few days.
5-6 PM Social Hour: Kick off the event with casual mingling, drinks, and introductions to fellow attendees, sponsors, and guides.
6 PM Dinner: Enjoy a hearty group meal at the lodge to fuel up and build excitement for the next couple of days.
September 30th: Full Day of Grouse Hunting
6:30 AM – 7:30 AM: Breakfast at the Lodge. Start your day with a delicious, energizing breakfast to prepare for the outdoors. Don’t forget to grab your sack lunch!!
7:45 AM: Depart for Grouse Hunting. Head out for a guided day afield, focusing on upland bird hunting in northern Minnesota's prime habitats.
4:00 PM: Head back to Resort. Arrive back and unwind after a rewarding day in the field.
5:30 PM – 6:30 PM: Stories and Cocktails. Share tales from the day over refreshing drinks in a relaxed social setting.
6:30 PM: Dinner and Presentation. Savor a group dinner followed by an engaging show or sponsor presentation highlighting the destination's outdoor offerings.
October 1st: Second Day of Grouse Hunting
