President's Message - November 2025

Posted on: Nov 18, 2025

As we gear up for the final month of the year, I want to take a moment to reflect on the momentum we’re building and the milestones ahead.

First and foremost, I’m thrilled to report that our inaugural online auction is live on GunBroker.com and already drawing strong engagement. This platform, generously supported by our Corporate Partner GunBroker, is helping us test a new way of fundraising that supports POMA’s mission while giving members and supporters access to premium gear just in time for the holidays. Thank you to all the companies who donated, and to each of you placing bids. Every click strengthens our work. Visit the Auction on GunBroker.com.

During our November board meeting, we approved POMA’s 2026 budget, which reflects a forward-thinking, strategic approach to strengthening our organization. This year’s budget prioritizes growth areas like member programming, the POMA Summit, committee-driven projects and streamlined operations. We’ve taken a close look at our expenses and income trends to ensure that we’re allocating resources in the most effective way possible. I’m confident this budget will support our continued push to add value for our members while maintaining a fiscally responsible foundation.

Committee Updates

All committees are active and continuing to meet monthly. Here’s a quick look:

  • Summit Committee: Planning is well underway for the 2026 POMA Summit (formerly our Annual Meeting) and details were announced to membership last week. We’re excited to visit Wild Wings of Oneka in Minnesota on May 26-28. Event sponsorships are available and the board is actively working on contacting 2025 sponsors to renew. We locked in a keynote speaker and will be announcing who that is soon!
  • Marketing and Communications Committee: Our marketing and communications team worked on asset for the GunBroker auction, finalized the Summit promo video and continues to work on our content calendar to keep members in the loop all year long.
  • Membership Committee: The committee continues to reach out to lapsed members, as well as review new-member applications.
  • Events Committee: Planning for three Expeditions in 2026 is underway. Details will be announced soon! In January, we’ll bring the POMA community together at SHOT Show for our next POMA Basecamp Meet-Up, where we’ll be joined by industry leaders from NSSF, Pulsar, Sportsmen’s Alliance and Boone & Crockett. This is one of many ways we’re creating more face-to-face touchpoints for our members and strengthening our role as the connective tissue between media and industry.
  • Campfire Sessions Committee: One episode has been filmed, and the second is planned to film soon. The first episode will launch early in 2026.

As always, thank you for your support and for helping bring outdoor media and industry to new heights. I’m proud of what we’re accomplishing together!

Onward,

Britney Booth
