January kicked off at a full sprint for POMA, and SHOT Show set the tone for the year ahead.
Over two packed days in Las Vegas, Executive Director Stephanie Spika Hickey and I met face-to-face with more than 20 current and prospective partners, spent time in the press room connecting with media and attended educational sessions focused on where our industry is heading. Those conversations reinforced what many of us already know: POMA’s role as a connector between outdoor media and industry partners is more important than ever.
The response to the upcoming POMA Summit was especially encouraging. Several companies confirmed their intent to support the Summit in new or expanded ways, while others asked to review sponsorship opportunities and explore how they can become more involved. Interest in our POMA Perks program also continues to grow, signaling strong momentum around member value and partner engagement. We expect to launch 3-5 more POMA Perks in the coming months!
One of the highlights of the week was Basecamp. With a packed room of over 70 people and strong energy throughout the event, it was clear that this gathering continues to resonate. The turnout, the conversations and the immediate commitments to return next year speak volumes about the strength of this community and the value POMA brings when we create space for people to connect.
We’re also optimistic about new member growth following SHOT Show and Basecamp, and we’ll be watching applications closely in the coming weeks.
As we move into the heart of the year, the foundation laid at SHOT Show gives us real confidence. The conversations were productive, the interest was genuine and the enthusiasm for POMA’s mission was unmistakable. Thank you for being part of an organization that continues to show up, build relationships and move the outdoor media industry forward.
I’m excited for what’s ahead and grateful to share this momentum with all of you.
