In this role the KUIU logistics manager is responsible for the performance, budget and coordination of all freight and warehousing services supporting the KUIU brand. This role will also lead the search, qualification and standing up of any additional future warehouses or inventory storage locations. The Logistics manager plays a pivotal role in maintaining the smooth flow of goods through the supply chain, contributing to the success of the business. Coordinates all road, ocean and air bookings for shipments from Vendors (international and domestic) to KUIU Warehouse. This role will also recommend and lead projects that would improve Operational efficiencies in Warehouse and Transportations areas of responsibilities. Notifies KUIU Warehouse and marketing on all incoming shipments prior to arrival at warehouse. Works closely with the warehouse to ensure FIFO, accurate inventory management (including inbound receipt quantities match PO’s) and fulfilment SLA’s are held to for both DTC and the retail stores. Manages and coordinates any warehouse related costs such as packaging purchases. Works closely with warehouse operations to ensure that all incoming and outgoing inventory is processed according to SLA’s. The main objective of this role is to work with the warehouse to drive operational discipline to deliver a predictable, accurate and reliable operation that will support KUIU’s growth objectives In addition, Monitors and Manages raw material shipments between vendors. Monitors Factory Production schedules and updates Netsuite PO with updated information on ex warehouse, shipment times and in-warehouse dates. Key Tasks for Logistics manager position: · Communicates shipment method and quantity of each PO to vendors. Reviews and matches Packing slips, invoices to POs and approves Inventory invoices. · Booking shipments from Vendors to KUIU Warehouse. · Manage and coordinates any warehouse related costs such as packaging purchases. Approving freight and warehouse related Invoices · Quoting multiple shipping methods for best rate / transit time for inbound and outbound freight. · Monitor and Manage shipment between vendors (eg fabric to factory). (Glove, Hat, Bino, Gaiter Fabric). · Staying up to speed on new Customs Compliance rules and regulations. Confirming Inco-terms and accurate HS codes are established prior to shipment. · Notification on incoming shipments prior to arriving at warehouse. · Reviewing and matching Packing slips, invoices to POs. · Approving freight and warehouse related Invoices · Set up cycle count program at warehouses for inventory accuracy. Manage inventory reconciliation in NetSuite. · Work closely with warehouse on quality related inspections · Coordinating special projects with warehouse. Pack assembly, Mailer inserts, Reworks, Warranty repairs. · Manage inventory adjustments and returns in NetSuite. · Monitoring customs bonds and renewals for imports. · Manage the Duty Draw Back program in relations with US customs · Reviewing First Sale documents from Vendors prior to shipments · Coordinating special projects: Pack assembly, Mailer inserts, Reworks, Warranty repairs. · Identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance warehouse efficiency and productivity. Research and present proposals for long term logistics , customs , warehouse projects ( eg free trade zone ) · Managing relationships with suppliers and logistics partners to ensure smooth inbound and outbound logistics. · Staying up to speed on new warehousing systems and methods ( eg : touring modern warehouse facilities ) · Manage Claim back and insurance process for Logistics and Warehouse related issues ( eg product delivered in unusable state due to mold, rain, container integrity issues, slolen product) · In the relationship with a 3PL , respectfully push for the adoption of modern industry standards and methods related to : · Storage and security of goods · General warehouse organization ( labeling, signage , zoning) · Cleanliness Experience and Qualifications: · BSc degree or higher · 5-10 years of transportation and warehouse management experience, preferably including import experience from Asia and central America. · Excellent attention to detail and follow through · Highly collaborative and team player · Strong management and communication skills (when dealing with warehouses and carriers) · Ability to work under pressure and lead complex projects (in the logistics space) · Familiarity with Netsuites and Pivot88 plus
