Hunter Ihrman is the Executive Director of Strategic Engagement for the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association (NCBA), the national trade association for American cattle ranchers. He hosted NCBA’s Beltway Beef podcast featuring commentary on rural issues, conservation, ranching, and the beef industry. Segments also appeared on rural radio stations throughout the country. Hunter also produced segments for NCBA’s TV show Cattlemen to Cattlemen airing on RFD-TV (the rural channel) about the multiple use of public lands and the conservation benefits that come from hunting and ranching. As a contributing writer for the National Cattlemen newspaper, Hunter’s writing has appeared in the Oregon Cattlemen magazine, Nebraska Cattleman magazine, The Oklahoma Cowman, The South Dakota Cattlemen magazine, and The Cattleman published by the Texas & Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association. In 2025, Hunter received the Next Gen NAMA Award from the National Agri-Marketing Association for his media and communications work. Outside of work, Hunter is a life member of Safari Club International, a life member of the National Rifle Association, and a member of the National Association of Farm Broadcasting. Previously, he served as Chairman of the Virginia Board of Conservation and Recreation, Vice Chairman of the Virginia Citizens’ Advisory Council on Furnishing and Interpreting the Executive Mansion, and President of the National Agri-Marketing Association Chesapeake Chapter.
