New publication from High Caliber History LLC brings auction news, museum updates, research and collector community coverage together online
ASHLAND CITY, Tenn., October 9, 2026 — High Caliber History LLC announces the launch of The Collector’s Wire (TCW), a digital news and intelligence publication for firearms collectors. Now available at www.thecollectorswire.com, TCW brings news from across the collecting community into one place.
“Collectors shouldn’t have to keep track of dozens of websites to find out what’s happening in their field,” said Logan Metesh, POMA media member and publisher and editor of The Collector’s Wire. “I started TCW to make that information easier to find and give readers the context to understand why it matters.”
TCW covers firearms auctions and notable sales, museum acquisitions and exhibitions, collector organizations, books and historical research, shows and events, and industry developments relevant to collecting. Its audience includes collectors, historians, museums, researchers, dealers and auction houses.
Alongside its website, TCW offers a weekly email newsletter with a concise roundup of news for the collecting community. Readers can follow developments across the field and discover organizations, collections and research beyond their usual sources.
Metesh brings nearly two decades of experience in museums, historic firearms research, collections work and writing. His professional background includes the National Park Service, Smithsonian Institution and National Firearms Museum. TCW operates independently of High Caliber History’s appraisal and historical research services, with editorial decisions based on relevance and value to collectors.
“Some of the most interesting work in this field happens in local museums, collector clubs and private collections,” Metesh said. “I want TCW to help that work reach more people. Sharing a discovery or documenting a collection can give someone else the starting point for their own research.”
TCW welcomes news submissions from museums, auction houses, collector associations, authors, researchers and others in the firearms collecting community. Submissions may include announcements, story leads, photographs and supporting documentation. TCW considers submissions based on their relevance to readers.
