Engineered and Made in America, all Scout Gen 2 models maximize value, security and mobility with an innovative non-insulated, single wall design.

The Gen 2 Scout 25X features a fully mechanical Simplex Lock which means no batteries, no electronics to fail and no key backup weak point to attack. The Simplex Lock is reliable and offers fast access. The Gen 2 Scout 25X measures 25” wide x 58“ tall x 15” deep and comes standard in Flat Black with Charcoal Grey accents. The gun cabinet model features an inline 9-gun rack and a full-width, adjustable steel shelf. It’s customizable with additional shelves, door organizer panels and other accessories such as the Steelhead Outdoors 15” Case Keeper or Bow Keeper. Steelhead also offers a Scout 25X outfitted with shelves and Simplex Lock for an ammo cabinet with the convenience of a Simplex Lock.

All Gen 2 Scout cabinets are built with welded 14-gauge steel and features Steelhead’s patent-pending vertical beam, 7-point locking technology. The vertical beam locking technology positions the ¼” carriage on end and is fully supported to prevent bending, offering increased security over traditional bolts or bars floating behind a sheet metal door jamb. The locking carriage has 7 locking points that will lock every few inches along the door and each locking point engages with 7 reinforced slots to thwart pry attacks. For comparison, competitors’ products have simple 3-point mechanisms where they lock on the top and bottom with a small rod and lock in the middle with a rotating mechanism. The external hinges allow for 180 degree door opening. The four welded dead bolts work in tandem with the concealed hinge hardware to lock the hinge side in place.

Anchoring to the wall or floor is required and all necessary anchoring hardware is included. The door is removable if needed for moving, the completed cabinet weighs 145 lbs. and 165 lbs. with all of the racks and shelves installed. The Gen 2 Scout 25X retails for $1,400 USD and ships on a pallet curbside, appointment or home delivery.
