Posted on: Jan 09, 2025

Over the past year, the Professional Outdoor Media Association (POMA) has held special gatherings for media members at trade shows and conventions, called POMA Meet-Ups. The next POMA Meet-Up will be at SHOT Show on Wednesday, January 22 at 4:00 p.m. in the Unity Ballroom in Caesar’s Forum. POMA members and SHOT Show media attendees are invited to this event.

“We’re very proud and grateful to announce that the POMA Meet-Up at the 2025 SHOT Show will be hosted by our sponsor, the Boone and Crockett Club,” announced POMA Executive Director, Rob Sexton. “The event will include a short program, complimentary beer and door prizes provided by our sponsors.”

Featured speakers include:

  • Chris Dolnack, Senior Vice President and Chief Customer Officer, NSSF – The Firearm Trade Association
  • Bill Dunn, Vice President of Marketing, NSSF – The Firearm Trade Association
  • Taylor Schmitz, Director of Federal Relations, Congressional Sportsmen’s Foundation
  • John Devney, Senior Vice President, Delta Waterfowl

Dolnack and Dunn will be sharing the latest updates about the 2025 SHOT Show. Schmitz, who is the outgoing chairman of American Wildlife Conservation Partners (AWCP) and Devney, who is the incoming chairman, will be revealing the top conservation priorities and requests of the new Trump Administration from America’s most prominent sportsmen’s organizations.

Attendees will also hear the latest from POMA, the trade association representing American media professionals who make their living specializing in the outdoors. Door prizes will be drawn from business cards from attendees. Door prize donors include NSSF, the Boone and Crockett Club, Congressional Sportsmen’s Foundation, USA Clay Target League, POMA and more.

“The POMA Meet-Up series is designed to provide ready-made content for outdoor media at trade shows and conventions while also providing some fun and valuable networking time for media professionals,” explained Sexton. “We’re so grateful to NSSF for providing the space during their flagship event, and for sharing vital information with our members. We greatly appreciate the Boone and Crockett Club for hosting the POMA Meet-Up at SHOT Show. Their sponsorship made the refreshments possible during the get-together, allowing us to have a bit of fun while we work.”

No registration is necessary to attend this POMA Meet-Up. You do not need to be a POMA member to attend.
