Sightmark Launches Wraith 2 LRF Series, Its First Thermal Riflescopes with Integrated Laser Rangefinding

Posted on: Oct 22, 2026

(MANSFIELD, TEXAS) – Sightmark has launched the Wraith 2 LRF series, the first generation of its flagship thermal riflescope line to ship with an integrated laser rangefinder. The series debuts with two models, the Wraith 2 384 LRF (SM17006) and the Wraith 2 640 LRF (SM17013), each pairing a Vanadium Oxide thermal sensor with a Class 1 laser rangefinder inside a single housing so hunters no longer need to carry a separate rangefinding device into the field.

For shooters accustomed to estimating holdover or reaching for a handheld rangefinder in the dark, the Wraith 2 puts exact distance on the display the moment a target appears, letting the entire shot process happen without leaving the eyepiece. Both models share a 1024x768 OLED display, five selectable color palettes, fourteen reticle options spanning first and second focal plane, onboard Wi-Fi streaming, video recording, and photo capture, and an IPX6-rated aluminum alloy housing built to operate from -4°F to 122°F.

Wraith 2 384 LRF (SM17006)

The Wraith 2 384 LRF pairs a 384x288 Vanadium Oxide sensor with a 12µm pixel pitch and a 60fps frame rate, producing a fluid thermal image with a detection range of up to 2,350 yards for a 1.5-yard target. A 3x optical base and 1–8x digital zoom give shooters flexibility from close brush encounters out to the edge of that detection range, while the integrated Class 1 rangefinder reads targets from 5 to 1,000 yards with a precision of ±1 yard at close range and ±0.5% beyond 200 yards. With a 35mm objective lens and 2 inches of eye relief, the 384 LRF suits hunters and predator callers who want magnification reach without paying for resolution they would rarely use at typical hunting distances.

  • Sensor: 384x288 Vanadium Oxide, 12µm pixel pitch, 60fps frame rate
  • Detection range: up to 2,350 yards
  • Zoom: 3x optical, 1–8x digital
  • Rangefinder: integrated Class 1 LRF, 5 to 1,000 yards
  • Battery: 18650 with USB-C charging, up to 4.5 hours of runtime

Wraith 2 640 LRF (SM17013)

The Wraith 2 640 LRF steps up to a 640x512 Vanadium Oxide sensor with the same 12µm pixel pitch and 60fps frame rate, along with a NETD rating below 40mK that lets it resolve fine detail against scenes with minimal temperature contrast. Its detection range extends to 2,730 yards, and a 40mm objective lens paired with a 2x optical base and 1–8x digital zoom keeps a wide field of view in frame at scanning magnification before zooming in to confirm a target. The same integrated rangefinder and 5-to-1,000-yard range apply here, making the 640 LRF the highest-resolution option in the Wraith 2 line for hunters and tactical users who need positive identification as much as detection.

  • Sensor: 640x512 Vanadium Oxide, 12µm pixel pitch, NETD <40mK, 60fps frame rate
  • Detection range: up to 2,730 yards
  • Zoom: 2x optical, 1–8x digital
  • Rangefinder: integrated Class 1 LRF, 5 to 1,000 yards
  • Battery: 18650 with USB-C charging, up to 4.5 hours of runtime

Two Sensors Built for Different Hunts

Although the 384 and 640 models share the same platform, Sightmark designed them to serve different priorities rather than compete with one another. The Wraith 2 384 LRF gives hunters greater magnification reach at a more accessible price point, while the Wraith 2 640 LRF delivers the highest-resolution image in the Wraith line for shooters who want to resolve fine detail at distance. Both pair that imaging with the same integrated rangefinder, so the choice comes down to how a hunter weighs magnification against sensor resolution rather than which optic performs better.

The OLED display shared across both models also solves a problem familiar to anyone hunting through a Texas or Southern summer. Where a traditional LCD screen washes out under high ambient heat, the OLED panel in the Wraith 2 stays readable regardless of temperature, a difference that matters most exactly when a hunter needs it.

Onboard Wi-Fi and video capture let hunters pull footage directly from the optic through the Sightmark app, turning a night in the field into shareable content without an external camera or recorder.
