POMA Hires Stephanie Spika Hickey

The Professional Outdoor Media Association (POMA) has hired Stephanie Spika Hickey as their new Communications Specialist. Stephanie will be the principle point of contact on press releases, social media, ongoing website content and more. “It’s an honor to work for an organization that represents people like me – communicators in the outdoor space. POMA is well respected, and I’m excited to contribute to their success,” said Spika Hickey. Stephanie is a longtime professional in this field, working in the firearms and outdoor industry for over 15 years. She has held senior level marketing and communications roles at the National Rifle Association, Safari Club International and Benelli USA, among other companies. Stephanie has a strong background in crisis communications, having navigated many public relations challenges while working for major non-profit organizations. She is an avid hunter and currently serves on the Board of Directors for Safari Club International. “I had the pleasure of working with Stephanie in a prior role. She’s a great get for POMA and is sure to do a good job on behalf of our members,” said POMA Executive Director Rob Sexton. Stephanie is replacing Laura Kenning, who served as POMA’s Operations Specialist. Laura and her family have relocated to Germany, and POMA staff and members wish her well.
