North American Gamebird Association Offers Free Registration to Students Attending Hunting Club Conference

Posted on: May 02, 2023

The North American Gamebird Association (NAGA) will host their annual Hunting Club Conference, sponsored by NSSF – The Firearm Industry Trade Association, in Manhattan, Kansas, at the Bluemont Hotel on July 17-19, 2023. The conference has been designed exclusively for hunting preserves and clubs by the people who own and run them. This year's conference features a great mix of high-tech information, marketing seminars, sessions on how hunting clubs navigate the challenges of avian influenza and more. View the agenda here. With the conference located adjacent to Kansas State University, it's an excellent opportunity for students interested in a future career in the gamebird industry. NAGA has 15 scholarships available for college students enrolled in Gamebird Management, Wildlife and Outdoor Enterprise Management or Hospitality programs who wish to attend the conference. This offer is available for any college student, not just those attending Kansas State, and is offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Use code “freestudent23” at registration to zero out the cost. “This is a great location for the conference,” said NAGA President Peg Ballou. “With Kansas State University’s gamebird management and hospitality programs, we look forward to working with them to provide a great agenda in an area of the country full of gamebird hunting preserves.” After the first 15 students have registered, the organization will offer a special price of $150 (a $200 discount) each. Thank you to Flint Oak Lodge and Keith and Debra Houghton for generously donating the student entry fees. About the North American Gamebird Association The North American Gamebird Association’s mission is to protect, promote and sustain a positive environment in which game bird producers and hunting club operators can grow their businesses through the monitoring and influencing of legislation, informing and educating our members on current industry trends and issues, and promoting and sustaining our hunting heritage through increased public awareness.   ###   Media Contact Britney Booth, Booth Media Group britney@boothmediagroup.com
