Adds Crucial Saddle Hunting Information
RAPID CITY, SD (July 31, 2025) – The National Bowhunter Education Foundation (NBEF) offers many informative products to increase success and safety for bowhunters. NBEF determined it was imperative to add hunting saddle safety information as more hunters explore hunting using these devices. The hunting saddle safety information can be found in the ‘Hunting from Elevated Stands’ section of NBEF’s Today’s Bowhunter instructional manual and Today’s 3-in-1 Responsibility Guide. The manual and guide are used during in-person and online bowhunter ed and hunter ed classes.
Today’s Bowhunter manual is the compilation of 30 plus years of teaching the IBEP (International Bowhunter Education Program) and is the accepted certification standard worldwide. "Today's Bowhunter" Student Manual also mirrors the material presented in the online distance learning course. The Manual is 80+ pages of the latest basic bowhunting education information to help bowhunters be more successful. Chapters cover Introduction to Bowhunting, Wildlife Conservation, Safe & Responsible Bowhunting, Know Your Bow & Arrow, Preparation Before the Hunt, Methods of Bowhunting, Shot Placement & Recovery Techniques and Outdoor Preparedness. Today’s 3-in-1 Responsibility Guide Booklet: A Hunter's Guide to Safe and Responsible: Elevated Hunting, Big Game Shot Placement, and Big Game Recovery. This 80-page booklet contains all three guides to a safe and responsible hunt. Written for hunting with a bow or firearm, it’s filled with hunting safety and hunting ethics information for beginners as well as experienced hunters. The convenient size fits into a pocket or pack to take along on a hunt. Call for quantity pricing over 50 units. Suggested retail price is $5 each.
“NBEF is the source for bowhunter certification curriculum and instructor training within the United States and internationally (International Bowhunter Education Program) so it’s important for us to add or revise our educational content when needed,” explained NBEF Executive Director Marilyn Bentz. “NBEF encourages hunters to review reference information before embarking on a hunt. These tools can lead to safer and more successful hunts.”

About NBEF
The National Bowhunter Education Foundation offers instructional content and tools for bowhunter education and hunter education. Helping bowhunters become safe and successful hunters and stewards of the sport are important NBEF missions. NBEF provides the bowhunter certification curriculum and class content that some states and certain circumstances require to bow hunt. NBEF provides instructor training and certification.
NBEF oversees the International Bowhunter Education Program and works with the International Hunter Education Association and state agencies to coordinate a unified program. States may have additional requirements. Europe and other countries offer full reciprocity for the NBEF (IBEP) certification and conduct classes.
NBEF also oversees the International Crossbow Education Program and works with state agencies responsible for crossbow education to develop comprehensive online crossbow safety courses that teach students important laws and regulations, game identification, and safe, responsible handling of crossbow equipment.
