National Rifle Association to Celebrate August as National Shooting Sports Month

Fairfax, Va. - The National Rifle Association of America today announced its support of the sixth annual National Shooting Sports Month, an initiative of the National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF). Created by NSSF to encourage participation in the shooting sports and emphasize firearms safety, National Shooting Sports Month will take place throughout the month of August. “The NRA is once again proud to partner with NSSF to promote and support National Shooting Sports Month,” said Joseph P. De Bergalis, Jr., Executive Director of NRA General Operations. “We implore all NRA members to exercise their Second Amendment rights this month by participating in the shooting sports – whether in competition or for recreational fun.
