National Bowhunter Education Foundation Supports NASP® With Scholarships, Bows & More

Posted on: Jun 14, 2026

RAPID CITY, SD (June 15, 2026) – National Bowhunter Education Foundation (NBEF) continues its ongoing support of National Archery in The Schools Program (NASP®).

In 2026, NBEF donated four special edition Genesis bows featuring the NBEF logo to the Eastern and Western winning schools for use in future archery instruction.  Also in 2026, the NBEF will contribute scholarships monies to winning team members at the NASP® Championship Tournament in Daytona, FL.

Throughout the season, NBEF provides tens of thousands of scoring pencils for state and national events. NBEF has also developed informational lane markers to help keep NASP® 3-D tournaments running smoothly and safely.

NBEF attends and displays at the NASP Eastern Nationals and Western Nationals events to share information about NBEF’s safety and success-focused bowhunter ed classes with the thousands of NASP® participants, their coaches and families. Event attendees can also find fun giveaways at the NBEF booth.

“NBEF supports the NASP® organization and its ongoing growth and success. We’re aligned with its educational mission and see our sponsorship as an opportunity and privilege to introduce young archery enthusiasts to bowhunting,” explained Marilyn Bentz, NBEF Executive Director.

NASP®’s mission is to promote instruction in international-style target archery as part of in-school curriculum, to improve educational performance and participation in the shooting sports among students in grades 4-12.

“As we continue to introduce millions of young people to the sport of archery, we are extremely grateful to the NBEF for its tremendous support and continued encouragement,” explained NASP® President Tommy Floyd. “It’s remarkable to work with individuals who share our vision for conservation and dedication to ensuring the successful future of our sport. Thank you NBEF!"
