National Bowhunter Education Foundation Sponsors National Archery In The Schools Program State Coordinator Event

RAPID CITY, SD (August 1, 2024) National Bowhunter Education Foundation (NBEF) proudly sponsored the recent National Archery In The Schools Program (NASP) State Coordinator event in Fort Worth, TX, continuing its commitment to support the NASP. NBEF Executive Director Marilyn Bentz addressed the gathering during an NBEF sponsored lunch. She thanked the coordinators for their tireless efforts and announced that NBEF would supply scoring pencils for upcoming NASP events.

NBEF stands alongside the NASP organization and supports the programs ongoing growth and success. NASPs educational benefits extend to a large number of participants. And its an excellent way to introduce young archery enthusiasts to bowhunting, explained Marilyn Bentz, NBEF Executive Director.

NASPs mission is to promote instruction in international-style target archery as part of in-school curriculum, to improve educational performance and participation in the shooting sports among students in grades 4-12 

NBEF also sponsored the 1st Place High School Team Scholarship at the NASP National Tournament in Louisville. The NBEF contributed $12,000 toward scholarships. and donated two Genesis bows featuring the NBEF logo to the winning schools for use in future archery instruction.

NBEF attends the NASP Eastern Nationals and shares information about NBEFs safety and success-focused bowhunter ed classes with the thousands of NASP participants, their coaches and families. 

As we continue to introduce millions of young people to the sport of archery, we are extremely grateful to the NBEF for its tremendous support and continued encouragement, explained NASP President Tommy Floyd. About NBEF

The National Bowhunter Education Foundation offers instructional content and tools for bowhunter education classes in the US. Helping bowhunters become safe and successful hunters and stewards of the sport are important NBEF missions. The NBEF provides  bowhunter certification standards and class content that states, and certain circumstances require in order to bowhunt. NBEF provides instructor training and certification.

NBEF oversees the International Bowhunter Education Program and works with the International Hunter Education Association and state agencies to coordinate a unified program. Europe and other countries accept the NBEF (IBEP) certification and conduct IBEP classes.

NBEF also oversees the International Crossbow Education Program and works with state agencies responsible for crossbow education to develop comprehensive online crossbow safety courses that teach students important laws and regulations, game identification, and safe, responsible handling of crossbow equipment.
