Posted on: Oct 14, 2025

ROCK HILL, S.C. – October 14, 2025 – The Connecting with Conservation (CWC) Podcast is proud to welcome Ammunition Depot CEO Dan Wolgin as its latest guest. In this episode, Wolgin joins hosts Jon Gassett of Wildlife Management Institute and Jim Curcuruto of Outdoor Stewards of Conservation Foundation for an insightful discussion on how legislation impacts conservation, outdoor sporting and Second Amendment rights.

Founded to ensure Americans have access to the ammunition they need for protection and recreation, Ammunition Depot has grown into a leading retailer serving a wide range of firearms owners across the country. The company is recognized for its customer-focused service and ongoing advocacy for responsible gun ownership.

“Ammunition Depot plays an important role in protecting the rights of sportsmen and shooters while also giving back to the communities they serve,” said Curcuruto. “It was great to have Dan on the show to talk about how the company is working to support conservation and the future of outdoor recreation.”

Ammunition Depot was also recently listed by Guns & Ammo magazine as the best place to buy ammunition online, a testament to the company and team’s commitment to customers, reviews, pricing, delivery and the entire experience. Ammunition buyers have plenty of choices when it comes to retailers online and brick and mortar stores, and Ammunition Depot has solidified itself as a top choice for all types of ammunition and related goods.

In the episode, Wolgin shares the company’s unique origin story, discusses current legal efforts surrounding California’s ammunition laws and highlights Ammunition Depot’s charitable initiatives, including the Veterans Education Tuition Fund (VETF). The conversation also touches on programs like “First Shots,” which help introduce new participants to shooting sports safety.

“It was a pleasure joining Jon and Jim to share the Ammunition Depot story,” said Wolgin. “We take our commitment to responsible gun ownership, conservation and advocacy seriously, and conversations like this help strengthen the connection between our customers, the outdoor community and the broader conservation movement.”
