CMP Announces Upcoming Training Opportunities

The Civilian Marksmanship Program (CMP) is now accepting applications for its upcoming GSMM Master Instructor Training Workshops and Range Officer Training Courses. These educational programs are designed to develop qualified instructors and range personnel who support safe, effective and rewarding marksmanship experiences throughout the country.

The GSMM (Garand, Springfield, Vintage Military and Modern Military) Master Instructor Program provides advanced training and certification for experienced rifle instructors and competitive shooters who wish to teach CMP-sanctioned GSMM Rifle and Rimfire Sporter Clinics. The workshops focus on marksmanship fundamentals, instructional techniques and clinic organization, helping instructors introduce new shooters to the sport in a safe and engaging environment.
