Full job description

Whitetails Unlimited Inc. is seeking a part-time Field Director to execute program services. As a Field Director the candidate will organize volunteers and conduct membership events. Additionally, the Field Director will act as a liaison between all regional activities and National Headquarters. Guidance and resources will be provided by National Headquarters to help you succeed at delivering remarkable events. This part-time position could develop into a full-time salaried position.

Founded in 1982, Whitetails Unlimited is a national nonprofit conservation organization that has remained true to its mission and has made great strides in the field of conservation. We have gained the reputation of being the nation’s premier organization dedicating our resources to the betterment of the white-tailed deer and its environment.

Whitetails Unlimited’s mission is to raise funds in support of educational programs, wildlife habitat enhancement and acquisition, and preservation of the hunting tradition and shooting sports for future generations.

What are we looking for?

  • This unique commission-based position requires a diverse set of skills and can be both personally and financially rewarding for the right individual.
  • This individual will be required to work from their home office. Travel and working some nights and weekend hours are required. Expected hours are 5-20 per week.
  • High moral standards, honesty, dependability, good character, ability to work independently and strong ethics are imperative.
  • An undergraduate degree and experience with event planning, volunteer programs, fundraising and public speaking is desirable. Related training and job experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft 365, basic accounting, record keeping, and inventory skills.
  • Participation in the shooting sports, hunting, and knowledge of the white-tailed deer is crucial.
