Overview
Summary: The Web Design Analyst will work as part of our Orchid POS, Orchid eCommerce and B2B Portal team. The analyst will develop custom websites and eCommerce portals for our retail / range, distribution, manufacturing clients in the firearms and shooting sports industry.

Job Responsibilities
- Meet with clients to understand their firearm industry business model
- Determine client website design needs including site page portfolio, layout, branding, color schemes, imagery, and special features and functions.
- Understand client needs for SEO optimization, newsletter campaigns and social media
- Create professional web designs based on these requirements and work with the client to finalize their prototype
- Create or source relevant images to the shooting sports, law enforcement, firearms, ammunition, ranges, etc.
- Submit site designs to the software development team for build
- Assist clients with the migration of site imagery, product data, and content
- Review post-build sites for quality and functional issues
- Present the finalized site to the client for final review
- Train clients on the ongoing use of their website, Content Management Portal and integration with Orchid POS or other platform
Web Designer Qualifications/Skills
- Proven understanding of graphic design fundamentals
- Demonstrated ability to take a project from concept to launch
- Strong command of color theory, image composition, and typography
- Excellent time-management skills
- Ability to deliver production-ready digital assets in a wide variety of formats
- Awareness of UI/UX principles
- Familiarity with digital photo editing
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Comfort working in a deadline-driven environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Attention to detail with a high degree of accuracy
Education and Experience Requirements
- Prior experience in the firearms industry desired but not required. At a minimum, must be a firearm enthusiast and familiar with the industry and its products
- Bachelor’s degree in graphic design or a related field
- Three to five years of professional design experience
- Portfolio of strong creative work
- Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud (Dreamweaver, Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator)
- Experience with HTML and CSS
- Experience with Figma
