Job Description
ORGANIZATION
The Kids & Clays Foundation was founded in 1999 as a philanthropic, not-for-profit institution committed to improving the lives of children and their families by partnering with shooting sports enthusiasts to develop programs that generate funds to support the operating needs of participating Ronald McDonald House Charity Chapters (RMHC), Ronald McDonald House Family Rooms, and Ronald McDonald Mobile Medical Units
POSITION
Kids & Clays Foundation has grown steadily, and continued growth is anticipated. To meet its mission and maintain the highest professional standards of operation, the Foundation has created the Program Assistant role for a person whose background and commitment will work with the Executive Director, Program Director, and Director of Marketing to support the ongoing success of its mission.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The Program Manager reports to the Executive Director, Program Director, and Director of Marketing to assist in managing the daily operations and helping fulfill the mission and long-term goals of the organization.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Work with the Executive Director, Program Director, and Director of Marketing to help develop, support, and expand our series of sporting clay events. These duties include:
- All phases of event planning to include administration for each of the current RMHC Chapter/Kids & Clays events
- Oversee deadlines for all facets of events
- Onsite support during the actual event
- Ordering, inventory control, and shipping of all warehoused and non-warehoused merchandise including outdoor and other shooting gear, and all promotional and marketing materials.
- Oversee pre and post surveys and summaries to ascertain the needs and successes of each participating RMHC chapter.
- Work with the Director of Marketing, Program Director, and Executive Director to manage all sponsor/donor relationships with the board of director committee assistance to include acknowledging sponsors and donations in a timely manner.
- Oversee Kids & Clays presence at major shooting and outdoor events to include staffing (volunteers, board, and committee members), merchandise shipments and sales, and other associated fundraisers as developed.
- Work with Program Director, and Executive Director to develop and expand the Special Marketing Event Program which makes up the majority of Kids & Clays cash funding.
- Attend Committee and Board of Directors Meetings as required and facilitate all materials needed for those events.
- Function as a liaison to all board committees as required.
- Other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
The Program Assistant must believe in the core values of Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) and those of the Kids & Clays Foundation.
- Must be an independent worker and self-starter, but also a team player.
- Possess excellent communication and presentation skills as well as a knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience in fundraising and organizing events desired.
- Previous marketing and/or sales experience desired.
- An undergraduate degree is preferred, but any secondary education will be considered.
- Must be willing and able to travel as needed. This may be as much as parts of 20-30 weeks annually.
COMPENSATION
Salary is commensurate with experience. Salary range for this position is $45,000 - $49,000.
- This is a virtual office position. All necessary equipment and tools for a home office will be provided with a stipend to cover/offset internet and phone costs. Virtual office equipment includes:
- Laptop computer
- Printer
- Cell phone
- All other necessary office equipment.
- All travel for work is covered by the company with employee having a company credit card and expense account. Employee will be responsible for work related out-of-pocket funds when necessary but those will be expensed and reimbursed if a work-related item. Mileage is also reimbursed at the federally recognized rate.
- Invited to participate in the Kids & Clays Simple IRA Plus Incentive Savings Program whereas the organization matches up to three percent of an employee’s annual salary and invests it through the Capital Group – American Funds. Employees can invest any amount.
- Health care is not provided but the position receives a monthly stipend to defray health care coverage costs.
