Product Manager Long Guns -- Shotguns and Rifles

This is Onsite position in Gallatin, TN

JOB SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE:

The Long Gun Product Manager is a highly visible position in Beretta’s Global Organization, driving optimization and innovation to incredible portfolios of Beretta, Sako, and Tikka Shotguns and Rifles, as well as bringing new ideas to the cross-functional global development team to expand Beretta’s position in various Shotguns’ and Rifles’ market segments.

The objective of the Long Gun Product Manager is to significantly grow the portfolio of Long Gun products and support the development of the segment through market and user understanding, strategic roadmap planning, NPD execution, and successfully portfolio management - defining positioning and opportunity for all products within the category.

This role requires an organized and motivated, consumer-centric product professional who will be tasked with the vital function of building and executing the product vision for the future of Beretta, Sako, and Tikka Long Guns.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Major Responsibilities:

  • Maintains 5-Year Strategic Product Planning & Development Roadmap
  • Leads and Takes Ownership of Initiating New Product Development Projects
  • Maintains Alignment and Direction to Teams in a Global Matrix Organization and Actively Engages Cross-Functionally with Engineering, Channel, Operations, and Commercial Partners
  • Presents NPD Progress Report-Outs to Executive Leadership
  • Works with Vendor Partners and Supply Chain Teams to Optimize Sourced Solutions
  • Optimizes Product Portfolio based on End-User, Customer and Organizational Needs
  • Maintains Financial Ownership of the Product Line
  • Works with End-Users to Capture, Assess and Translate the Voice of the Consumer to the Organization

Position Requirements:

  • 3-Years of Product Management Experience in Similar or Adjacent Industry
  • BS or BA in Business Administration, Marketing, or Engineering
  • Previous P&L or Financial Management Experience
  • Excellent Written and Verbal Communications Skills
  • Go-to-Market Experience in B2B or B2C Product Lines
  • 5-Years Cross-Functional Experience in a Matrix Organization
  • 3-Years Project Management Experience (Milestone, Stage/Phase-Gate, Agile, Lean, etc.)
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite
  • Experience with CRM and ERP Systems (Preferred)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP)
  • International or Global Work Experience

Working Conditions / Physical Demands:

  • Up to 30% Travel for research, planning meetings, sales meetings and trade shows
  • Air travel required
  • Occasional weekend work and travel
  • Participation in firearm shooting activities
  • Must like things that go “Boom!”
  • Occasional participation in writer’s camps and writer’s hunts
  • Periodic International Travel
