Job Overview

B&T USA is seeking a talented Graphic Designer to contribute to and collaborate with our marketing team to bring B&T’s rich heritage and unique mission-specific product lines to users worldwide.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Support new product launches and new business capture.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team and/or other project participants to understand project assignment, audience, intended messaging, and deadlines.
  • Choose or create the necessary visual support material.
  • Present proofs to project team members for editing and final approval.
  • Adhere to brand style guidelines when creating collateral.
  • Develop recommendations and justify strategies and decisions.
  • Maintain current and archived digital assets library (sell sheets, catalogs, InDesign files, photo files, sales brochures, user manuals, etc.).

In addition to your innate and well-honed creative abilities, our ideal candidate will possess:

  • Know the Adobe Creative Suite of tools, especially InDesign and PhotoShop, like the back of your hand.
  • Bring us a strong and well-rounded portfolio of work that demonstrates your range of creative talents.
  • Experience creating a broad range of materials, including social media content, web design, digital and print advertisements, print brochures, sales fliers, technical manuals and catalogs.
  • Attention to detail that catches the small stuff, the big stuff and everything in between, then solves the problems at hand.
  • Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as collaboratively with a highly experienced marketing team committed to maintaining B&T’s branding and voice across our communications landscape.
  • Work proactively with printers, transferring and receiving digital proofs for approval and submitting final print orders.
  • Be flexible. While much of this role will take place in a straight-forward Monday-Friday type of work week, we definitely have days when we need to meet exceptionally tight turnaround times in providing sales and contract collateral, often with little notice. Your ability to maintain organization and effectively prioritize and reprioritize projects in the queue when these last-minute projects come up will be paramount.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design and two to three years of relevant experience
  • Five or more years of progressive professional experience can be substituted for an advanced degree.
  • Videography and video editing skills—Final Cut Pro skills are a big plus!
  • Portfolio of work.

Pluses:

  • Photography skills
  • Web development and UX/UI design
  • Adobe Certified Professional graphic design certificate or other comparable certification such as an AIGA Professional Design Certification, Google UX Design Professional certificate, etc.
  • UI/UX design certification
  • HUGE Plus—Firearms knowledge. We’d love for you to be well-rounded here, but it’ll be even better if you you’re in the know when it comes to suppressors, law enforcement, military, and personal-defense firearms, and the trends taking place within these markets and the firearm industry at large.
