Greetings from the Minnesota Deer Hunters Association (MDHA)!
The Minnesota Deer Hunters Association (MDHA) is a grassroots conservation organization working to build our hunting and conservation legacy. With nearly 20,000 members throughout the state, MDHA works in Minnesota for Minnesota. MDHAs mission is to ensure the preservation and enhancement of wild deer hunting opportunities through Habitat, Education, Advocacy and Legislation.
Whitetales magazine - the official publication of the Minnesota Deer Hunters Association is published quarterly as an educational and entertaining magazine provided to our members. Articles and photographs in Whitetales portray the beauty, value and importance of whitetail deer while relating the challenge and thrill of hunting the species.
Our readers - MDHA members - are dedicated hunters and conservationists whose interests include deer, deer hunting and land/wildlife management. Members read Whitetales to stay up-to-date on new ideas, issues and concerns regarding deer and deer hunting in Minnesota.
We would like to invite you to submit your stories, articles and photos for printing in Whitetales magazine.
We are currently seeking submissions for feature stories (1,200 words w/ pictures) for our upcoming issues. Below please find topics of interest. We are always open for suggestions and new ideas so feel free to send over any queries.
Winter Issue - Muzzleloader & Late Archery Hunting issue
Muzzleloader & Late Archery Hunting Stories and techniques, Alternative Hunting, Winter Activities, Cold Weather Option.
Spring Issue - Land management and hunter education issue
Food plots, forest management, plant species highlights, off season scouting, hunting retention and recruitment, land management equipment.
Summer Archery & Hunt Preparation
Archery & firearm stories, stand preparation, cameras, land management, technology, maps, early archery techniques, food & meat tips, hunter retention, recruitment & education, hunting stories, gear tips (how, why, what, bows, guns, stands)
Fall Firearm Deer Hunting
Firearm stories, stages of rut, stand placement, calling, scents, firearm techniques, food & meat tips, hunter retention, recruitment & education, hunting stories, gear tips (how, why, what, bows, guns, stands) Also cover photo highlighting a fitting topic preferably with a person in the subject.
