We are looking for passionate and knowledgeable adventures who have a love for community,
education, and unparalleled outdoor experiences. Whether it’s backpacking, archery, hunting,
foraging, survival skills, yoga, wellness, or rock climbing, there’s opportunity for you to have your

We are looking for 3-5 qualified event guide/hosts that can provide exceptional experiences to
ladies in the outdoors who have a desire to find like-minded women, build their confidence, and
say YES to adventure. The sky's the limit!
The ideal candidate is fueled by their love for the outdoors and for sharing that love with others.
We are looking for candidates that have ample experience and knowledge (and certifications/
licensing when necessary) in their chosen skill. We operate under the ethos that we don’t work
outside of our “wheelhouse.” Although there is always room for growth and skill building, we
expect our event guides and hosts to work professionally within their skill and knowledge base,
always.
As an event guide/ host you will be expected to focus on providing an empowering and safe
environment for women to connect, learn, grow, and explore. You will have the freedom to work
as much or as little as you want making this a full time career or a supplement to your current
work/ life balance.
You will work with the Her Outdoor Journey team to dream up your wild adventures, to create
the entire experience on paper and then breathe life into the conception to bring it to our
customer base.
Through the process you will work in direct communication with our team for creation,
budgeting, copywriting, marketing assets, emails, and more! But don’t worry, our team will take
care of everything for you including the insurance, marketing, PR, websites, logistics, financial
cost of hosting, emails and all that it takes to turn fun ideas into life-changing experiences!
What you’ll be doing
- Creating your “dream sheet” in collaboration with the HOJ team to outline, plan, and execute
your events/ retreats/ hunts
- Continually hone your skills and knowledge in your areas of expertise
- Maintain any relevant certifications or qualifications for your events
- Build community around your events and spread the word about upcoming events
- Be an ambassador for Her Outdoor Journey and the life-changing experiences we provide
- Work professionally within the policies and procedures of Her Outdoor Journey
Skills & experience you’ll bring to Her Outdoor Journey
- High level skills in the area you plan to teach/ lead/ guide
- 2+ years of experience guiding or teaching in your respective field
- Certification/ licensure when applicable
- Provide low-risk, beneficial experiences for our customers
- CPR/ First Aid required
- Wilderness First Aid preferred but not required
- Always teach low impact, leave no trace philosophy while enjoying the outdoors
- Experience in the hunting/ outdoor industry preferred
- Event planning and hosting experience preferred but not required
- An eye for new, unique and exciting events in the outdoor community
- Exceptional interpersonal skills for hosting events
- Photography, videography, and/or content-related skills is a plus
- Ability to work independently, customer-first mindset, strong problem-solving skills, highly
motivated, and can work well under short deadlines when needed
