Role and Responsibilities

KUIU is seeking a full-time Customer Service Representative to join our call center team in Kearney, NE. This individual will serve as a frontline representative of the KUIU brand, providing high-quality support to our customers across multiple communication channels.

Reporting to the Director of Customer Service, the representative will:

  • Provide excellent customer service via phone, email, and other platforms.
  • Assist customers with product questions, orders, shipping inquiries, and returns.
  • Become deeply familiar with KUIU’s technical gear and confidently educate customers on product fit, use, and selection.
  • Understand and represent KUIU’s brand voice, customer expectations, and outdoor culture.
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions using internal tools.
  • Support office tasks such as filing, organizing, and customer mail-outs.
  • Respond to real-time challenges with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.
  • Adapt to business needs during seasonal changes, including some weekend or overtime hours.

Professional Qualifications

  • Prior experience in customer service or retail.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent typing and data entry abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational habits.
  • Comfortable navigating dynamic retail or ecommerce environments.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced setting.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Personal experience in hunting, backpacking, or other active outdoor pursuits.
  • Familiarity with outdoor apparel and gear, including competing brands.
  • Ability to recommend gear based on customer needs and environmental conditions.
  • Experience using KUIU products in the field is highly desirable.

Additional Details

  • Job Type: Full-Time
  • Shift: Monday – Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM PT (subject to seasonal and business needs)
  • Compensation: Starting at $15 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:
Applicants must reliably commute or plan to relocate to Kearney, NE prior to starting this role.
