Copywriter

We are seeking an experienced Copywriter to join our Revelyst Outdoor Performance Marketing team. Outdoor Performance includes five industry-leading outdoor brands: Simms, Bushnell, Camp Chef, Stone Glacier, Primos Hunting, and Blackhawk The Copywriter will be integral in helping our Marketing team to deliver the necessary brand dedication and functional expertise to achieve each brand’s objectives as well as the broader goals of the Revelyst family of outdoor brands.

As a Copywriter, you will focus on technical and brand communications for the Outdoor Performance brands. You will write accurate and on-brand technical product descriptions that convey both the features and benefits of Outdoor Performance products in a manner that is engaging to read and authentic to the pursuits each company is dedicated to. In addition, you will write inspiring and educational marketing copy for print publications and digital marketing communications for brand websites, email campaigns, social media, digital ads, video scripts, and more.

This position reports to the Outdoor Performance Vice President of Marketing and is based in Bozeman, MT or Logan, UT.

As the Copywriter, you will have an opportunity to:

• Collaborate with a diverse group of talented marketing teams across Outdoor Performance brands and the Outdoor Performance Agency to write copy that supports a broad range of product and brand marketing initiatives.
• Support content strategies and coordinate with content/editorial calendars to write timely and impactful copy.
• Work with product teams to learn about products and translate complex information into engaging and easily understandable copy to support product sales.
• Collaborate with the Outdoor Performance Agency and brand managers to edit copy in a timely fashion.
• Collaborate on high-level concepts and create copy that will guide marketing communications and campaigns.
• Write and edit copy using best practices for Search Engine Optimization to maximize brand reach and user engagement.
• Work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while continuously improving workflow efficiencies.
• Communicate clearly and effectively with a large group of marketing teams to ensure projects completed to quality and deadline expectations.

You have:

• A bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in English, communications, marketing, or journalism.
• Experience producing copy for print and digital media channels.
• Proven success in producing copy for advertising or marketing campaigns.
• Exceptional skill in social media writing, including use of hashtags and relevant acronyms.
• Excellent communications skills and attention to detail.
• Exceptional multitasking skills and the ability to write in a diverse set of styles and voices from one project to the next.
• Proficiency with common office software.
• Experience with SEO concepts and social media marketing.
• Creativity, adaptability and the ability to work collaboratively with a team.
• Experience with and a passion for the outdoors, hunting, and fishing.

Pay Range:

Annual Salary: $62,000.00 - $70,000.00

The actual annual salary offered to a candidate will be based on variables including experience, geographic location, education, and skills/achievements, and will be mutually agreed upon at the time of offer.
