The Copywriter will report to our Creative Director and will play a critical role in maintaining our tone of voice across all brand touchpoints. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maneuver seamlessly between creative and product-based writing tasks, using a mix of both short and medium-form.
  • Develop engaging, on brand messaging for a variety of mediums, including our website, blogs, catalogues, email, social media, print and internal communications.
  • Participate in creating product positioning, naming and messaging architectures for go-to-market initiatives.
  • Optimizing content for various platforms and channels, considering copy length and SEO needs.
  • Develop scripts for feature-based, product-focused, and educational video content.
  • Contribute to creative campaign ideation and narrative work that supports our brand ethos and core values.
  • Be able to deliver work on tight timelines and multiple projects concurrently.
  • Deliver quality, detail-oriented work that is grammatically accurate but stylistically non-formulaic.

QUALIFICATIONS:• BA/BS and 2-4 years of experience writing for a marketing organization or creative agency required. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.• Exceptional writing skills with a portfolio of work to share that demonstrates short -form and medium-length marketing and/or advertising copy.• Ability to effectively communicate specialized and technical information clearly.• Editorial mindset that seeks to understand what audiences consume and how to create it.• Knowledge of shooting sports, optical products, firearms applications a strong plus.• Proficiency with MS Office and relevant social media platforms. 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Work takes place on-site at Leupold and Stevens’ headquarters in Beaverton, OR.
