As Business Intelligence Lead you will be hands-on in the development, architecture, and strategy of our BI and Analytics initiatives. You will work closely with business leaders to identify gaps in information, and deliver valuable insights, metrics, and analytics solutions. You will lead and grow our BI & Analytics team, while helping to set the BI strategy to meet our business objectives
What You’ll Be Doing
- Be hands-on with design, development, tuning and deployment of visually appealing and intuitive reports & dashboards that communicate complex data insights to audiences at all levels of the organization
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their data needs, key performance indicators and metrics, and translate them into meaningful visualizations
- Use your business skills and knowledge of ERP, Finance, Manufacturing and Sales to translate business requirements into technical solutions
- Apply your knowledge of best practices for deployment of Microsoft Power BI in an enterprise environment
- Provide daily guidance, training, and oversight to team members on best practices for Power BI development
- Keep abreast of emerging trends in data intelligence, AI, and relevant technologies to best support the business
Skills & Experience You’ll Need
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, plus five or more years of experience in management or supervision of IT department responsible for IT infrastructure planning, design, and implementation. Master of Business Administration or equivalent management experience is highly desirable.
- 3-5 years demonstrated experience implementing and managing Microsoft Power BI in an enterprise environment is required, with experience using Microsoft Government Cloud highly desirable.
- 5-10 years strong working knowledge of the following technologies:
- Data visualization tools such as Microsoft Power BI, Tableau, Qlikview or others
- Oracle & SQL Server databases
- SQL development & performance tuning
- ERP such as Oracle, Dynamics or SAP, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Understanding of Microsoft Azure Power BI cloud infrastructure for software development, and execution of DevOps procedures.
- Understanding of current data mart, data warehousing, data lake, ETL/ELT & integration strategies
- Broad knowledge of business and information technology capabilities, applications, and trends.
- Ability to understand and articulate business IT needs and opportunities, set direction, and lead complex projects.
- Strong interpersonal, problem-solving, organizational, communication, teamwork, mentoring, and leadership skills.
- Experience working with senior level stakeholders & communicating complex technical solutions to a non-technical audience
- Knowledge of business principles and techniques of administration and management, including, but not limited to, knowledge of strategic and operational planning.
- Knowledge of principles, practices, tools and techniques of project planning and management required.
Work Environment
Work is performed in a normal office environment with occasional travel.
