Business Development Manager

Growing market share and sales in established sport shooting markets and identifying new business opportunities in existing and related market segments, building strategic partnerships, and driving growth of the Kahles brand. Introduce and grow the Kahles brand and consequent sales in LE and Military markets.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Market Analysis: Conduct market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape in the assigned markets.
  • Business Strategy: Develop and implement business development strategies to expand market presence and increase revenue.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key industry partners.
  • Product Knowledge: Gain in-depth knowledge of Kahles' and competitors’ product offerings and communicate their benefits effectively to customers.
  • Sales Growth: Drive sales growth by identifying new business opportunities and expanding into new markets in collaboration with SONA’s sales teams.
  • Trade Shows and Events: Ensures organized and successful trade shows, industry and consumer events by participating in event concept planning, working at events, handling logistical issues and participating in set-up and break-down.
  • Budgets and Forecasts: Directs and monitors annual budgets and operating plans to ensure efficient expense and revenue management of product line. Forecasting of sales in conjunction with sales teams. Monitors, identifies, and communicates variances and adjustments to senior management. Interprets and manages results. Analyzes financial data to ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with the sales, marketing, and other relevant departments at SONA to align business development goals with company objectives.
  • Liaison between SONA and Kahles: Share market trends and competitor insight with respective departments at Kahles. Identify and specify specifications, features, and requirements for existing and new products to support Kahles in the definition and development of trendsetting and relevant products for targeted markets.
  • Reporting: Provide regular reports and updates on business development activities, sales metrics, and market trends to senior management.
  • Other Duties: May be required to perform other duties assigned.

  • Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Business Administration or related discipline and extensive experience in Sales Management.
  • Military and/or Law enforcement experience preferred.
  • Experience establishing or managing a premium brand, working on strategic partnerships preferred.
  • Competitive knowledge or working within competitive shooting fields such as Precision rifle, 3-gun, dynamic shooting, F-Class.
  • Ability and willingness to travel extensively throughout the U.S. and Canada and internationally as needed.
  • Computer proficiency to include Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Effective communication skills, both written and Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from customers and the general public.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data and work cross-functionally to develop courses of action, present findings, and execute decisions.
  • Proven ability to effectively resolve business issues.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Must be able and willing to drive, as the duties and business needs dictate.
