POSITION SUMMARY:
Assist with all aspects of SAAMI projects, programs, and services, working closely with and supporting the SAAMI team.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Respond to telephone and email inquiries.
- Maintain up to date and accurate SAAMI Board of Directors and Committee lists.
- Manage member information in Salesforce and SAAMI email distribution lists.
- Proficient in making travel arrangements, including international travel, and submission of travel expense reports upon completion of travel for self and SAAMI staff.
- Develop and nurture a harmonious relationship with all SAAMI staff, consultants, committee members and NSSF.
- Ensure timely registration for UN meetings, including application for Grounds Passes and general UN filing requirements.
- Create Purchase Orders and process invoices for payment.
- Coordinate fulfillment of information requests in an efficient and timely manner.
- Coordinate Reference Ammunition Assessment subscriptions, including maintaining up-to-date subscriber listings and invoicing.
- Coordinate all SAAMI mailings.
- Support and fulfill various components of the biennial SAAMI Ballistic Conference, including registration lists, invoicing, and communications with attendees and presenters.
- Collaborate with the NSSF Events team to coordinate and provide on-site logistics for SAAMI meetings such as registration check-in, agenda, and presenter coordination.
- Assist with the coordination of the SAAMI annual fundraiser, to include soliciting donations, working with NSSF events team on fulfilling item descriptions/photos, and coordinating the delivery of donated items to the winners.
- Support staff with the annual SAAMI shoot venue and details of activity.
- Maintain SAAMI electronic files and create all new files.
- Assist with new membership process and invoicing/collecting membership dues.
- Support all SAAMI staff with projects and overflow.
- Provide administrative support to the President/CEO of SAAMI.
- Provide reception phone back-up for the NSSF/SAAMI phone lines.
OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS:

- Must be able to travel by commercial airline and operate rental car.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- 4-year college education.
- Experience working in a support role.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Proven sales/customer service skills.
- Demonstrated aptitude for accuracy and detail and follow through.
- Proven ability to be well organized and manage multiple projects.
- High level working knowledge and proficiency with MS Office Products (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) required.
- Working knowledge of Salesforce, Intacct, Adobe Acrobat Pro, and Microsoft Visio is desirable.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks/priorities/deadlines; flexibility to respond to changing conditions.
Work Location
Within Shelton, CT area is preferred, although remote is acceptable for the ideal candidate.
