This time of year there's a lot of online shopping activity going on, and that's often a "gift" to hackers and thieves. Using weak passwords really can put your data in danger. Whether it's Facebook, online banking, credit card management - really any online activity - you should make sure you've got a strong password protecting your information. It's easier than you think to come up with something strong, and the peace of mind is worth it.

- Never reuse one. Ever. Data breaches are very common. When your password is breached at a service, that service will usually make you change it. But the service where you re-used it doesn't know that, so you just made that password very insecure.
