A few years ago I had pretty much given up on blogging (gasp!) and I was dedicating my time to producing episodes of my online TV channel www.simonjordan.tv and interviewing guests for my online radio show.
I thought that TV and audio was the way to go. My TV site was working well with new clients coming in and I was getting booked to speak across the globe so I was happy. Then I met someone who said that they loved my TV channel, but preferred reading my blogs instead. When I asked why, they told me that they just preferred to read and watching one of my episodes in an office full of people wasn’t always possible. And here was me thinking that TV was the way forward. I was wrong, well sort of.
So with this in mind here’s point 1 1. People like different things People like to absorb their information in different ways. Some just like YouTube and online TV channels whilst others prefer audio, but others prefer to read and I quickly realized that I was missing out on this section of the market. So if you’re thinking of giving up on blogging think again. Since I’ve started writing 2 blog posts a week I have seen the traffic to my site rapidly increase to over 1,000 new visitors per day and also the sign ups to my list have also massively increased. So in a nutshell, blogging works so don’t stop or if you don’t have one then maybe now is a good time to start.
