Resource Goldmine for Covering 75 Years of Wildlife and Sportfish Recreation

Posted: December 27, 2011

You can enjoy more hunting, fishing, boating and wildlife-related recreational opportunities than ever before thanks to 75 years of the Wildlife and Sport Fish Restoration programs. These programs have made the difference between the survival and abundance of some species and many fish and wildlife populations are at historically high levels today. WSFR also helps increase the number of days and places where you can go afield or on the water to enjoy your favorite outdoor activities.

WSFR is based on a “user pay/user benefit” principle, which we like to think of the programs as having a cycle of success.  The cycle of success starts with the manufacturers and the excise taxes that are paid on certain hunting and fishing equipment items and also through fuels taxes.

WSFR has created an excellent resource for information, their Communications Promotional Tool Box, for use when telling the the story of 75 years of Wildlife and Sportfish Recreation.

See the Wildlife and Sport Fish Restoration website for complete information on their programs, success stories and more.
