Energize your copy by using quotes, colloquialisms and idiomatic slang. The right turn of phrase can serve well as a springboard for your discussion or a closing to your story.
Be sure to give credit to the author of a quote, and be sure your audience will understand the meaning of a colloquial phrase or slang.
When you’re looking for the right one, keep your mind open. Don’t just pick search words like “fishing” or “trapping.” Consider the point you want to make and go from there, such as “success” or “humor.”
