Opportunity cost is often associated with executive decisions, business situations, and stock options.  Its true, understanding opportunity cost is essential in these areas of professional life, but it can also be applied to your own personal life. Understanding the opportunity cost of the decisions you make can be life-changing. What stood out to me in the below article by Colton Hicks is his assertion that we can be practically anything we want to be in this life, but not everything. I think that's an important thing to remember in this busy world, where there will always be someone doing what you are trying to do.  Use your gifts and talents to the best of your ability by understanding opportunity cost.
