Two Weeks Until Western Hunting & Conservation Expo Opens on February 2nd in Salt Lake City The past three years, I've attended the Western Hunt and Conservation Expo in Salt Lake City, Utah. A coalition between The Mule Deer Foundation and Sportsmen for Fish and Wildlife originally established the event. Hundreds, if not thousands of outdoor companies attend, creating an amazing atmosphere. If you're one who gets into trouble with your spouse for spending too much money on outdoor gear, I highly recommend staying away from this place.  You'll swear there's a hole in your wallet with so many innovative and creative products laying around. From my perspective, though, the gear is not by a long shot the most valuable part of the event. That would have to be a toss-up between the millions of dollars raised for conservation and the incredible professional opportunities. Nate Simmons, Remi Warren, Steven Rinella, Brian Call, James Nash, and Brady Miller are just a few icons of the hunting world who show up.  I've had the pleasure of talking with a few of these guys, conversations which made me reject the old adage "never meet your heroes". If all of this isn't enough, I've also landed a few job offers at this event. If you're looking to get started in the hunting industry, there's no better place to start. General Admin tickets are $25, and this year's dates are 2/16-2/18. A brief overview of the expo is linked "HERE"
