Having the ability to post multiple images and videos in one post allows creators to push more content to viewers - which is a good thing! Sometimes, though, after uploading carousel posts users will notice something wrong. Previously, to fix this, the entire post would need deleted and reuploaded with the correct images, resulting in wasted time. Instagram's newest update now makes it easier to fix carousel post issues. Users can now delete a single image from carousel posts without having to delete the whole post. And, an additional feature has been added - the option to shake your device to report a technical glitch when you have the app open. Andrew Hutchinson, Content and Social Media Manager for Social Media Today, explains the newest update.

Instagram Adds Option to Delete Individual Posts from Carousels, Shake to Report Feature

Instagram has announced the addition of a much-requested option – the capability to delete individual posts from within a previously uploaded carousel. As explained by Instagram chief Adam Mosseri, now, after you’ve uploaded a carousel of images and/or videos, you’ll be able to remove specific posts from that series by tapping on the three dots menu, selecting ‘Edit’, then tapping on the small trash icon in the top left of the image/video that you want to remove. The option will provide more capacity to manage your Instagram posts, while also ensuring that you don’t have to delete and re-upload a carousel set if you later notice an error or issue with one frame.
