Sometimes handling direct messages on Instagram is not easy for IG marketers. Those who find themselves in areas with limited wireless or restrictive mobile data plans may soon benefit from being able to handle direct messages on their desktop. It also has the potential to allow brands to use it as part of their customer service strategy, making it easier for someone who is primarily in an office environment to field customer questions. It's available to limited users right now, but should be more widely available in the near future.
Andrew Hutchinson, Content and Social Media Manager for Social Media Today, shares the details on Instagram's testing of DMs in its desktop version.
