Head for the POMA Directory

As writers we’re often looking for authoritative sources to substantiate some topic we may be covering. Just as often however, we waste far too much time and money tracking down reliable sources or so-called “experts.” Waste no more. There’s a gold mine of great sources right under your nose - in the POMA directory.

POMA members have a diverse realm of expertise. Maybe your focus is fish but you get a whitetail assignment that you can’t pass up. You won’t have to look too hard to find someone knowledgeable on that topic. Working on a story on the lack of women’s hunting apparel? One of our female members can provide a much more accurate perspective. In addition to being writers and photographers, some of our media members have other lives as guides, wildlife biologists, state I&E officers, taxidermists and more. Their expertise can also lend credibility to your work.

You might also consider our Corporate Partners an even more valuable resource, especially for a more in-depth story. They can often provide very detailed and specific information on a particular product line.

Next time you need expert advice, start with the POMA directory. You'll be doing yourself and your source a favor, discovering a reliable resource for future information, and quite possibly making a new friend.
