What does golf have to do with blogging? The lessons of golf, especially those of the golf swing, can help you write a better blog if you follow these seven tips:

Better Blog Tip #1:

Each blog post should have a “good tempo." Tempo is key for keeping your audience engaged. Too slow or too fast and you’ll lose the audience; ensure that the post is keeping a pace that the reader can sustain while keeping their attention.

Better Blog Tip #2:

Have a “balanced posture.” If a blog post is unbalanced at the start, it won't have consistency in the story. Posture will play to your ability to stay true to the main point you're looking to make in your post.

Better Blog Tip #3:

Have the “right grip." The natural grip of your blog post plays to the authenticity of your message. Are you sharing a story that your readers can relate to, or at least hosting the opportunity for them to create an idea based on your natural grip of a topic?

Better Blog Tip #4:

“Keep your left arm straight” throughout the post. I'm not saying to keep it tight and rigid, but have a writing style and stick with it. Readers want to know that they can count on your writing style to be consistent each time they read a post. Don’t waver on style.

Better Blog Tip #5:

"Shift your weight properly." In order to make good contact with a blog topic, authors may need to shift their weight to get the point across. Shifting weight is important, especially when addressing controversial topics and issues.

Better Blog Tip #6:

"Keep your head still." When writing a blog post it’s important to keep your eye on the ball to achieve higher quality. Is the goal to share expertise, engage conversation, be controversial, or motivate an idea? If you keep your eye on the ball, you will tell a better story and help your reader walk away with your intended message.

Better Blog Tip #7:

"Visualize each post." Every good blogger knows that blogging is at least 90% mental and 10% technical. In order to have a good blog post, writers need to put themselves in the frame of mind to tell a great story.
