Back in high school, I had an English teacher who would always say "there's no such thing as a great writer, there are only great editors."  In all honesty, I don't remember much of what I learned from that time, but this line always stuck with me. The same teacher would also consistently remind her students that even after hours of editing work, no writing can ever be perfect. There comes a time when we, as creators, must release our work into the world with no guilt, knowing perfectly well it will be imperfect. Fortunately, there are plenty of editing tips to follow that will help your writing inch ever closer to that unattainable line of perfection.
