We're all looking forward to growing our businesses and the end of the year is a perfect time review the things that are going well and the things that can be improved. With that said, we thought we'd share a few quick tips to get your business ready for the new year.
1. Make a list of the things you should repeat and the things you should change in your business to improve next year.
2. Send your customers a thank-you note for their support this past year. It's so easy and will definitely differentiate you and help build your brand loyalty...so take the time and say thank you.
3. Start preparing for your taxes by gathering all of your revenue and expense information for 2011.
4. Identify the shows and events you want to vend at in 2012 and outline your application process for each of those shows so you don't miss any deadlines.
5. Research ways to improve or reduce your costs including your supplies, packaging and even shipping. Decreasing your costs is a great way to increase your profits on each and every sale.
6. Create a monthly publishing calendar to plan which days you want to list new products in your online store…being consistent and fresh is key to keeping your customers coming back!
7. Set aside some time to read & catch up on the latest trends and news within your trade. Knowing where the market is headed can provide you with a great opportunity.
8. Reward yourself with a break...it's the end of the year so relax for a bit and enjoy your accomplishments in 2011.
