About the Opportunity
We are seeking a self-motivated Marketing and Sales Assistant who will support our current Marketing and Sales Manager now and will fully transition into the lead role within two years. This position is ideal for someone eager to learn quickly, take on increasing responsibilities, and build a career in marketing and sales within the outdoor tourism industry. Work 2-3 days/week at home, and 2-3 days/week in our Silverthorne office or in the field. Compensation will be based on your experience and ability to accelerate into the role. Key Responsibilities
Initial Focus:
Assist in managing and updating information at online travel websites (TripAdvisor, GetYourGuide, Google My Business, etc.)
Contribute to the development of marketing materials.
Assist with social media account management: FB, IG, GMB, TikTok, other.
Assist with website content updates.
Maximize reviews collected by activity, at locations, and by OTAs.
Provide support for group quotations and sales processes (B2C).
Support direct sales efforts in the field to promote our products to clients and businesses.
Aid in customer service inquiries and follow-up, especially for group business.
Learn and assist with the company's booking platform (Fare Harbor) and CRM (Zoho).
Help train and monitor our chatbots and automated receptionist.
Support incoming customer calls.
Spend time in the role of Customer Experience Manager to learn about our product offerings quickly and about the needs and motivations of our client base.
Growth and Development:
Develop and manage Online Travel Channel (OTA) marketing.
Design, direct, and analyze the performance of direct marketing and advertising campaigns, and implement new ones.
Direct social media and our GMB presence.
Develop and manage effective MailChimp direct sales outreach.
Update our webpages and booking platform information.
Manage Business-to-Business (B2B) sales relationships.
Create blogs.
Evaluate new technologies.
Independently create and manage B2C group quotations and close sales.
Direct and operate in-person B2B and B2C sales.
Identify new and obsolete product offerings.
Develop and analyze reports in the booking platform to identify strategic marketing and sales opportunities.
Work with operations and accounting to streamline business flow.
Qualifications
Entry Level:
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal.)
Basic user of social media.
Familiarity with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Gmail, Meet.)
Eagerness to learn and embrace new challenges.
Genuine passion for summer and winter outdoor activities.
College degree or equivalent relevant experience.
Experienced Level (considerations for higher level entry and for growth):
CRM experience (Zoho preferred).
Wordpress experience.
Experience managing OTAs.
Experience with design platforms (e.g., Canva).
MailChimp success.
Social media success.
Ability to lead B2C and B2B sales at industry and partner events.
Ability to lead development of new B2B relationships, including cold calling.
Proven experience in and enthusiasm for the outdoors.
3-5 years of relevant experience, ideally in outdoor tourism.
