Ruger Media Update – Ruger Wins Two Golden Bullseye Awards

Sturm, Ruger & Company, Inc. (NYSE: RGR) proudly announces that two of its rugged, reliable firearms have been honored with 2018 Golden Bullseye Awards. The Ruger Precision® Rimfire was selected as the 2018 American Rifleman Rifle of the Year and the PC Carbine™ as the 2018 Shooting Illustrated Rifle of the Year.

Now in their 17th year, the NRA Publications Golden Bullseye Awards acknowledge the finest products available in the shooting sports. Winners are selected by a seven-member committee consisting of editors, graphic designers and veteran NRA Publications staff, representing more than a century of collective experience in the shooting and hunting industry. The selection criteria for winning products include that the products must be “reliable in the field, meeting or exceeding the evaluator’s expectations; innovative in design and function; readily perceived as a value to the purchaser; and styled in a manner befitting the shooting and hunting industry and, perhaps more importantly, its enthusiasts.”

“We are honored by these two Golden Bullseye Awards,” said Ruger President & CEO, Chris Killoy. “The Ruger Precision Rimfire and PC Carbine were two of our most exciting new products in 2018, and we are thrilled that the NRA Publications’ staff members appreciate their innovation and quality as much as we do.”

2018 Golden Bullseye Awards will be presented during a special breakfast at the 2019 NRA Annual Meetings & Exhibits in Indianapolis, Indiana. The award-winning products will also be featured in an editorial overview of the Golden Bullseye Awards appearing in the May issue of American Rifleman, American Hunter and Shooting Illustrated magazines.
