NEWTOWN, Conn. — The National Shooting Sports Foundation® (NSSF®), the trade industry for the firearms industry, is pleased to announce that AXIS POS and Gearfire have joined as the sponsor of the new Range-Retailer Business ExpoTM Mobile App. The jointly owned companies are headquartered in Scottsdale, Arizona. AXIS POS and Gearfire are sister companies under a common partner with Orchid Advisors, an NSSF partner, and Gearfire Payments, a firearm-friendly merchant processing company. Together, these organizations will sponsor the Range-Retailer event under a common banner to offer business owners an opportunity to demo the latest in retail and range technology offerings.
“Technology, both presented as education and in product, is central to all those attending our Range-Retailer Business Expo, and a well-designed mobile app such as this helps bring that concept to life,” said Zach Snow, NSSF Director, Retail & Range Business Development. “We greatly appreciate the GEARFIRE’s contribution in making that app happen.”
“Over 66 percent of NSSF’s 5-Star ranges and 2,000-plus retailers rely on our software and services,” said Jon Rydberg, the company’s CEO. We’re excited to introduce three new technologies at this year’s NSSF event. Given NSSF’s track record with other industry conferences, I suspect this is a must-attend event. Visit us at Booth 101 to take the first step.”
The new Range-Retailer Business Expo Mobile App will contain a robust array of features, from exhibitor space floor plans, learning session schedules and event listings. Users will be able to record notes, schedule meetings and more with the touch of a finger. The app, which will launch shortly, will be available via the iTunes Store and Google Play.
The 2019 Range-Retailer Expo, a first-of-its-kind event, was created to be a comprehensive educational experience for today’s firearms range operators and FFL retailers. A wide variety of panel discussions led by today’s top industry professionals will address the needs of those in the startup phase of new store or range builds, entrepreneurs expanding their current enterprises and veteran business owners seeking insights and information to take their companies to the next level. The expo’s three days of seminars are supported by a dedicated range and retail trade show with dozens of vendors offering the latest in indoor firearms range equipment, software solutions designed to streamline enterprise processes and enhance the customer experience, target manufacturers and product distributors among others.
NSSF’s first Range-Retailer Business Expo takes place Aug. 19-21 at the Gaylord Rockies Resort and Convention Center in Denver, Colorado. All firearms retailers and range operators, including those in the startup phase, are invited to attend, and NSSF members receive a significant discount on their registration fee. Complete information on attendee registration, hotel reservations and the expo agenda can be found here.
