It’s also a great time to bring the family and enjoy the magic of Christmas. We all need Christmas this year more than ever. Branson is also nationally known as “America’s Christmas Tree City”. The Branson Christmas Coalition decided to add a very special Christmas tree to the thousands of others that can be seen all over Branson. A Christmas tree like no other in America.
The “United We Stand” Christmas tree is dedicated to the Branson community and honors the areas Christian roots and patriotic pride. It is 25-feet wide, 39-feet tall, covered in 2,592 LED lights, a 6-foot diameter star on top and ornaments sent to Branson from all 50 states to honor our country. Local artists and organizations filled the branches with the kind of unique creativity this part of America is known for. A sign at the base of the tree says PEACE, JOY, HOPE, LOVE and represents a united country and community for Christmas. Ann McDowell, Executive Director of the Branson Christmas Coalition says, “This is a perfect example of how we can make incredible things happen when we work together.”
Wouldn’t it be nice if our nation’s politicians learned to work together too?
The tree is located next to the Branson Ferris Wheel on 76 Country Boulevard and during the Christmas holidays you can enjoy ice skating while you also enjoy the Christmas lights and the “United We Stand” Christmas tree on a 7,200 square foot ice rink, which is the same size as the Rink at Rockefeller Center in New York City.
