Electronic Signatures are Legal and Binding


POMA receives great questions from members every day. Today a member asked if electronic signatures are legally binding. The answer is, yes. In 2000, the Uniform Electronic Transactions Act (UETA) and Electronic Signatures in Global and National Commerce Act (ESIGN) were adopted at the state and national level. The acts legalize the use of electronic records and electronic signatures for business.
