NSSF Adds Regional Member Services Managers to Staff

NEWTOWN, Conn. — The National Shooting Sports Foundation® (NSSF®), the trade association for the firearms industry, is pleased to announce that it has created two new Regional Member Services Manager positions. Tammy McIntyre and Paul Irwin have been hired to fill those roles. The new positions will focus on a grassroots effort by the organization to connect one-on-one with retailers, ranges and manufacturers, discussing their needs and concerns and working with them to better utilize NSSF’s wealth of resource solutions.

Tammy McIntyre and Paul IrwinMcIntyre brings with her a decade of expertise in sales and business development within the firearms industry. She previously spent eight years at AcuSport as part of its sales team, and most recently worked with Legacy Sports leading its group of outside territory managers, inside salesforce and customer service professionals. She resides in Sparks, Nevada, and in her role with NSSF will focus her efforts on the retailers of that state and California.

Residing in Cedar Park, Texas, Irwin is also an industry sales professional, having most recently worked as a dealer sales executive and sales team leader with Silencer Shop. Prior to his employment there, he served as the general manager of Austin’s Shady Oaks Gun Range. An NRA-certified pistol instructor and range safety officer, as well as a certified Glock armorer and gunsmith, Irwin will be working primarily in his home state of Texas, which has the largest number of FFLs in the country.

“We are excited to launch this effort to further enhance the connection of the National Shooting Sports Foundation and the valuable resources available to our members with the industry, identify what our members need and have the personal relationships Tammy and Paul develop with them to become a resource they turn to for improving their businesses,” said Mike Vrooman, NSSF Managing Director, Member Services. “Not only do Tammy and Paul bring with them a wealth of experience relevant to retailers, ranges and manufacturers, they bring a passion for our industry and a comprehensive understanding of our members’ needs — which in today’s challenging business and social environment is more important than ever.”

NSSF will be working to establish other Regional Member Services Manager positions as needed. Additional resources available to member FFLs include a 24/7 Compliance Hotline, onsite store security and compliance consultations and a comprehensive library of industry research papers and reports, among others.
