“NRA….The Rest of the Story” Book Give-Away

The highly popular book, NRA….The Rest of the Story by Chip Lohman, is now in its Second Edition and third printing. The book answers often negative press and misquotes about shooting sports, guns and the NRA. To continue getting the book into more hands, the author is continuing the buy-one-get-one-free program until the end of 2014.

In August we reported that Shooting Sports USA Managing Editor Chip Lohman had just released the book NRA… The Rest of the Story to offset misquotes and negative press about the shooting sports, firearms and the NRA. With its small size and price tag, the unique delivery strategy is to market the book through in-the-know firearms people, who then pass it forward to their non-gun neighbors and friends.

With help from concerned gun owners, industry friends and Tom Gresham’s Gun Talk radio show, the book is now in its Second Edition and third printing. To continue the momentum of the Gresham radio special, the author is continuing the buy-one-get-one-free distribution program through the end of the year in hopes of putting more of the little books into the hands of anyone on the fence about firearms or the NRA. From Lohman: “Any order placed through New Year’s Eve will be shipped with an extra give-away book, at no extra cost.”

Envisioned as an inexpensive, fact-based book on topics overlooked by mainstream media, the 60 color-illustrated pages offer a virtual tour of the 143-year-old NRA including the Competitive Shooting Division, Education and Training Division. Law Enforcement’s Eddie Eagle GunSafe Program and the National Firearm Museums, as well as a reminder of the tireless and critical civil rights work performed by NRA’s Institute for Legislative Action. A section at the end lists all of the resources for the book’s research, as well as many hard-to-find websites on collegiate shooting, where to find a range or firearm safety class, and 15 NRA programs including gunsmithing schools and women’s shooting sports activities.

To learn more about the book in time for holiday gifting and the give-away offer, go to www.amazon.com/books and search on “NRA.” For industry friends interested in displaying the book at SHOT Show, contact the author directly.
